Notes:  City sales tax and room tax revenues are those collected within city limits as well as the police jurisdiction.  Sales tax revenues of a given month are those collected by vendors during the preceding month.  City sales tax revenues are general fund only.  A 2% tax on goods purchased inside the city but delivered for use outside Mobile County began in October 2000. 
County sales and room tax revenues of a given month are those collected by vendors during the previous month. 
The Mobile County hotel marketing fund is 76% of total county room tax revenue. 
Residences data reflect construction within the City of Mobile jurisdiction only. Starting in 2002,  numbers for  the city residential value only reflect NEW residences (previous years add MULTI-FAMILY and NEW).
The Mobile County employment and unemployment rates going back to 1990 have been updated June 2007.
